To allow the complete replacement of the overhead line equipment, which dates back to the 1960's when the line was originally electrified, c2c will be closing the line between Shoebury & Stanford le Hope, from the 25th December 2006 to 1st January 2007 inclusive.

A bus service will replace trains between these stations during this period. c2c have yet to release full details of the bus services & revised train running details....
