Proposed Industrial Action by c2c retail employees Monday 2 March

Taken from C2C's Website

The strike will involve some of C2C's retail employees who are RMT and TSSA members, on an issue relating to paid leave.  We remain open to discussion with the trade unions on this matter.

Customers using c2c train services are advised that this will not affect the services we provide and we will continue to operate a full, scheduled train service throughout the day on Monday 2 March.

We hope to open all of our ticket offices as normal.  Customers are advised they may also purchase tickets in advance at all our ticket offices.

From the Yello Advertiser  Thursday, 19 February 2009

PLANS to launch the Oyster Card at four C2C stations in Thurrock are still facing delays.

The Oyster Pay As You Go scheme was due to be expanded to Chafford Hundred, Grays, Ockendon and Purfleet last summer. But while card readers have been installed since late 2007, they have still not been switched on.

The Thurrock Rail Users Group (TRUG) described the ongoing delays as very disappointing.
