From the Echo 30th January 2009 COMMUTERS have praised c2c rail, backing a survey in which passengers have ranked the firm one of the best in the UK. Figures released from the National Passenger Survey show 90 per cent of commuters using the Shoebury to London Fenchurch Street line are satisfied with the service they get. The company was ranked joint top, alongside Chiltern Railways, FirstScotRail and Merseyrail in the survey. |

From the Echo 28th October 2008 COMMUTERS may soon be able to find a peaceful refuge from mobile phone chatterers, thanks to a modification being tried out on one of the area’s railway lines. Rail company c2c has coated the windows on one of its carriages with a solar reflective film, designed to block mobile, radio and wi-fi signals. |

From the Echo 3rd October 2008 CHAFFORD Hundred rail station has been picked as the first to benefit from a £1.2m investment by train operator c2c. The company is investing the cash in new self service ticket machines which are being installed at all stations on the network from this week to improve customer service and help minimise ticket ques. 43 machines at 26 stations are being installed over the next few months. The first station to benefit from these new machines has been Chafford Hundred with all other stations following closely in quick succession. |
